What this mockup demonstrates: free navigation (jump to any volume/folio/passage), an interlinear layout where the Tibetan line, an optional transliteration line, and every English candidate line all render at the same width, a reviewer "accept" state that leaves alternates visible rather than deleting them, section headers and images insertable at any point in the flow (hover the dashed seam between any two blocks), a print/export view for a single section (the "Export / print this section" button, or your browser's own Print command — choose "Save as PDF" as the destination for an actual PDF file), and a Translator Notes column beside every section (line group, header, or image) — "+ Add note" attaches a note stamped with whoever is in "Signed in as" up top and a timestamp, and each note can be toggled Open/Resolved. Lines 2-3 use placeholder brackets, as before.
Line 1 is a real-text rendering test, not manuscript content: the opening line of "Refuge in the Three Jewels of Bön," attributed to Dorje Lingpa, translated by Joseph McClellan and edited by NT Ninjyed (2025), published at lotsawahouse.org under a Creative Commons BY-NC 4.0 license. Used here only to check that the Tibetan script actually renders correctly (font: Noto Serif Tibetan) and fits the interlinear layout — it has nothing to do with Menri Lopon Rinpoche's manuscript. The Tibetan string was pulled through an automated page-read rather than typed in directly, so treat it as good enough to test rendering, not as a guaranteed-exact copy of the source page.
Notes are pre-shaped for a future work-in-progress index: each notes column already carries data-vol/data-folio/data-passage/data-line attributes (view source), the same keys a later "Notes Index" page would query across every passage in the database to show reviewers what still needs attention — Open notes are the ones that matter for that view; Resolved ones would just be history. That index page, and real per-user login in place of the free-text "Signed in as" field, are next-phase work once navigation and project selection are built — not part of this per-passage draft.
Not shown here: login/accounts, the actual import/OCR pipeline, real source pages (none exist yet), persistence of any edit (section headers, images, notes, and accepted candidates all reset on reload — there is no backend), and full multi-volume PDF export. That last one is a different kind of feature from the per-section print above: it needs real stored passage data across real volumes plus a batch rendering job (e.g. a headless-browser pass over every passage using this same print view, concatenated per volume) run server-side — not something a static mockup can honestly fake.
